Terms of Lease Agreement
Drivers above the age of 23 can choose any vehicle from the company Litos Dimitrios. All drivers must be in possession of a legal driving license, which should be valid for at least three (3) years including all the necessary documents. Residents of foreign countries should bring a European or an international driving license as well as a passport when required.
Insurance Coverage’s
Increasing the reservation value by a minimum amount relieves the renter from financial burden in case of damage.The lessee may choose one of the following insurance policies upon reservation or upon pick-up of the vehicle in order to pare the amount of guarantee.
1 Collision Damage Waiver (C.D.W), Theft-Fire Safety (TP) -With Discharge
In the event of accident, fire, partial or total loss of the vehicle under the responsibility of the lessee, he/she is obliged to financially participate in the repair of the vehicle. As a guarantee, for possible minor damages, the lessee pays the amounts per category as described in the table below. In case of no damages, the guarantee is returned in full.
2 Partial Damage Waiver (P.D.W.)
Should the lessee choose the Partial Damage Waiver insurance, his/her obligation to pay for possible damages to the company's vehicle is limited, with the lessee paying in addition the following amounts per day, according to the category of the vehicle. Discharge is limited to the below mentioned amounts per category.
The tenant is not relieved from financial liability in the event of theft, fire, damage to the underside of the vehicle, wheels (tires and rims), mirrors, seat or general interior damage, loss of keys and any accessory loss. In case of no damages, the guarantee is returned in full.
3 Complete Discharge of Responsibility (SCDW), Theft-Fire Insurance (TP)
In the event that the lessee of the vehicle opts for complete discharge of responsibility, including Theft Insurance (TP), he/she is relieved from the financial liability to repair any damage to the company's car that may arise. In order to qualify for full liability, the lessee must pay the amounts per day depending on the vehicle's category, as described in the table below.
The tenant is not relieved from financial liability in the event damage to the underside of the vehicle, wheels (tires and rims), mirrors, seat or general interior damage, loss of keys and any accessory loss. In this type of insurance, an amount of 200,00 € will be withheld as guarantee. This amount will be refunded at drop-off.

In case of refueling with the wrong type of fuel, the lessee is obliged to pay the damage caused, in full.
No type of insurance covers any damage to the underside of the vehicle, wheels, hubcaps, mirrors, antenna, glass, GPS devices, child seats, snow chains, other equipment, vehicle interior and tires as well as loss or destruction of keys and generally damages caused by driving on unpaved roads. As well as damages or physical damage caused by improper loading of materials or goods in the business cars of the Litos Dimitris company.
Damages caused to a vehicle that is not covered by a rental agreement due to expiration or no prompt renewal of it, are not covered by any type of insurance and the lesse undertakes the total cost of repair.
The above types of insurance do not cover damages caused when the driver is under the influence of alcohol or toxic substances, in violation of the Road Traffic Code (N2696 / 1999 ΦΕΚ 57A) or by persons who are not listed as drivers at the rental contract, as well as in the event that the incident is not recorded by the traffic police or by the accident care service of the insurance company that the vehicles of Litos Dimitrios are insured at.
Please note that Litos Dimitrios company is only and solely responsible to evaluate and fix damages to its cars. If the lessee proceeds to restoration of the damage without prior notice, he/she is not discharged from covering the cost of the damage in the occasion that the company considers the restoration to be improper.
In case the vehicle is not returned on the date and time stated in the lease agreement, the lessee is obliged to pay to the company the missing income resulting from the duration of the next rental or from the rental cost difference that will arise due to change of vehicle category.
Additional Driver
A hired car can also be driven by a second person as long as it has the necessary legalization documents without any extra cost and after it has been stated in the contract at the beginning of the lease.
Vehicle pick - up procedure
In order for the vehicle to be picked up it is important that the following necessary documents are delivered
-European driving license or valid International driving license.
-Identity Card or valid Passport
-Credit / Debit card in the driver's name
The card is used to withhold the guarantee amount as defined above, according to the category of the car.
Collection and Delivery
Upon pick-up, the lessee will have to check its delivery control form to confirm any existing damages. The vehicle is delivered full of fuel. On drop-off, the external and internal condition is checked by a person in charge, as well as the fuel level which should be at the level at which the vehicle was picked-up. If for any reason the fuel is short, the tenant is obliged to pay the corresponding amount of fuel plus 15 euro’s. Please note that the vehicle cannot be properly inspected if it is not clean enough.
Extending the Rental Period
In cases of the lessee wishing to extend the rental of the vehicle for a longer period of time than the original agreement, he should contact Litos Dimitrios company at least 48 hours before the end of the lease so that his contract can be renewed if this is feasible. If the vehicle returns sooner than the agreed time, the extra amount remains in the benefit of the company.
Cancellation policy
Cancellation at no cost, is possible if it happens up to 7 days prior to the pre-determined pick-up of the vehicle. Cancellations made 7 to 5 days before pick-up the lessee will be charged with half the total rental cost. In cases of cancellations made in less than 5 days before pick-up or of the lessee not showing up, the amount is not refundable. Terms of Payment
The lease is paid either in cash, by debit or credit card, or Bank Transfer. When choosing cash, a credit card is required to freeze the guarantee amount, in accordance with the terms of the company, which will be released at the end of the lease if the stipulated terms of the contract are met.

Place of pick-up and Return of the vehicle
Pick-up and return of vehicles are made at the company's offices in Thessaloniki and Heraklion Crete, as well as at the airports, ports, railway stations of the above cities at no extra cost. Distances greater than 30 km are charged with 0.30 cents per kilometer with a minimum of € 25,00. Pick-up of the vehicle during non- working hours is charged with € 20,00.
Geographical limits of vehicle traffic
No vehicle is allowed to exit Greece's borders. Transferring the vehicle by boat is only permitted with Litos Dimitrios written consent and no insurance coverage is provided in the event of damage.
Illegal actions
Any unlawful action or traffic offense involving fines, solely responsible for financial or other administrative settlement shall be the lessee.
Additional amenities
The company Litos Dimitrios, with a focus on customer service, offers the following services at the lowest possible fee
- 1st child seat free of charge
- 2nd child seat €2 per day with a maximum charge of €30.00
- 24-hour roadside assistance
-Unlimited kilometers for the entire period of the lease, except for leases up to 4 days in which there is a mile
Exceeding the limit of the above kilometers is charged with 0.20 euro’s per kilometer. During the months of September to May and for rentals of more than 4 days, there is also a kilometer limit, up to 2500 km. Exceeding this limit incurs a charge of 0.20 euros per kilometer.
In long-term rentals there is a mileage limit of up to 2,500 per month. Exceeding this limit incurs a charge of 0.20 euro’s per kilometer age limitation of up to 200 kilometers per day.
Special conditions
All the vehicles of the company are categorized according to the luggage space, horsepower, and capacity. Vehicles appearing in individual categories are those shown on the site or similar to the same features.
In case of loss, partial or total destruction of the keys of the rented vehicle, there is a charge of 70,00-300,00 euro depending on its type. Cleaning the interior of the vehicle from stains, fluids or other items such as coffee, oil, etc., requiring special cleaning, is charged with 60,00 euro.
Please note that on-line bookings are considered as valid, if the amount has been paid (in cases of payment via credit/debit card) or there has been former contact by the lessee to clarify the validity of the booking (in cases of payment via bank transfer).
